Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. He combines soul gospel jazz with R&B in a distinct mixture. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, the singer has done work everywhere. Sunshine's given the name of Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta however, her roots lie located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop the musical profession by performing and singing at the church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B culture. The year 2005 saw Tyler Perry hired her as the principal keyboardist on his stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls, the theatre production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became famous in the performances that took place over four days in 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine went on to sing during the 2009 Obama Inauguration.
